Cancellation of Mature Basins Workshop
Dear fellow SPE Permian Basin member,
By now, you’ve probably received several print advertisements, email ads, and even read about the SPE Permian Basin’s “Optimizing Mature Basins” workshop in the Pipeline. We held this event for the first time in September 2009 and had just over 100 in attendance so we decided to hold it again in hopes of increasing attendance and revenue which all goes to scholarship funds for college students.
This year’s event, scheduled for September 8th and 9th, included 26 presentations, 13 exhibitors, and 7 sponsors. However, as of this morning, we do not have enough registered attendees to justify proceeding with the event. At this time, the SPE Permian Basin Board has reached a decision to cancel this event.
If you have registered to attend and have paid your registration fee, it will be returned to you. Although this change of plans is an unfortunate turn of events, it is a sign of the times in our industry that we are all busier at work which is usually a good thing…
