2003-2004 Section Operations Manual

No single element in the structure of the Society of Petroleum Engineers (SPE), Inc. is more vital to the success of SPE than the operations of sections. An organized, active section assures meaningful programs for its members and provides guidance to the overall Society for essential new programs and modifications to existing ones.

As a section officer, you hold the key to SPE's ultimate success. You can help accomplish the goals and objectives of the Society by using all the resources available to you: your colleagues, former section and Society officers, and the SPE Offices.

Each section receives a printed copy of the Section Operations Manual annually.  This copy has been placed online for the convenience of section officers and others who desire to understand requirements or procedures, or to access certain forms.  The advantage of an online manual is that it can link to other areas of the website, and therefore assure you have access to the very latest policies, procedures, and other information (which can be updated only annually in print form).
