Production Engineer
Energy Job Description
Degreed engineer with 8+ years direct hands on field and office experience managing production operations. Position reports directly to VP of Engineering. Office / field time estimated at 70%/30% with office located in Wichita Falls, TX. Production in TX, OK, and MS.
Should be familiar with:
1) various types of artificial lift, including but not limited to; rod pump, plunger lift, gas lift, PCP, down hole jet pump, and down hole hydraulic reciprocating pumps.
2) standard workovers for repair of existing wells (repair casing leaks, down hole mechanical failures)
3) review of operating expenses of fields to maximize profit through both cost reduction and production improvement
4) review of old well files, including logs, to determine recompletion or re-stimulation potential
5) directing the activities of field pumpers and well site work over supervisors
Should also be proficient in Excel, Word, Outlook and Oilfield economic analysis software (Power Tools Software experience a plus). Tight gas fracture stimulation completion experience a valuable plus also.
