As active members of the Permian Basin Section Society of Petroleum Engineers, we all can recognize and value the importance of the hard work and dedication made in continuous effort to keep our organization successful and growing. Many individuals within the Permian Basin have excelled as SPE members and taken on challenges in various technical segments such as drilling and completions, Health, Environment and Safety, Management and Information, Production and Operations, Projects Facilities and Construction, and Reservoir Description and Dynamics. PROGRAM BACKGROUND One of the most popular SPE administered activities, the Distinguished Lecturer program began in 1961 with three highly regarded Distinguished Lecturers.
