Reservoir Study Group

Mission Statement

The Reservoir Study Group (RSG) is the largest of the study groups in the SPE Permian Basin section and meets on the 2nd or 3rd Thursday of the month 11:30 am. The cost for attending the luncheon meeting is $15. The RSG provides a forum for reservoir engineers and geoscientists, interested in any aspects of reservoir characterization, development and management, to gather and share ideas relevant to oil and gas activities in the Permian Basin . The function of the RSG is to promote continuing education, encourage networking and initiate new and established topics of interest to the group participants. The program for 2007-2008 will focus on relevant reservoir topics of interest to technical personnel working in the region for majors, independents, service companies, as well as, in academics. The RSG is looking forward to a successful year and hopes to broaden the participation of professionals working in the Permian Basin .
