CO2 ENGINEERS NEEDED (3 positions) Classic Reservoir / Production / Simulation California / Long Term Consulting Project
The client will utilize and store over 100 million standard cubic feet per day (mmscf/d) of CO2 in a field-wide Enhanced Oil Recovery (EOR) scheme. A technical team is needed to support this project through upstream development planning and FEED work. Full-field development plans to accommodate a twenty year project are needed in March 2010.
Reservoir Engineer-1: * Scale-up simulation forecasts to represent field wide results * Interact with facilities group on equipment ratings and sizes * Build production & spending profiles for various development cases * Roll up forecasts from different reservoirs and depletion strategies to determine most economical development scenario * Calculate project economics
Reservoir Engineer-2: * Work with team to determine optimal completion strategy (evaluate comingled wells in zones w/different reservoir drive mechanisms) * Work with operations engineer to ensure desired completion alignment within/across patterns * Estimate benefit / Impact of above work * Work to outline / design 20-year, full-field EOR plans
Simulation Engineer: * Build full-field flow model of 31S structure - starting with existing 31S full-field Petrel model * History match internal (production/injection wells) and external (flux from various other reservoirs) influences * Determine level of communication with surrounding reservoirs * Evaluate various development scenarios to optimize recovery and value * Work with other modelers to integrate external influences with other models
