SPE-PB Volunteer Opportunities

Much of the work of the Society is accomplished through the efforts of dedicated volunteers. Thousands of volunteers around the globe provide the energy that makes the Society function. SPE is grateful to these members and encourages other members to consider volunteeringl. Numerous opportunities are available at both the local and international level that allow you to contribute in an area of interest, while benefitting yourself and the Society.

• Plan meetings, ATWs, Forums
• Assist in peer-review of papers (through the Editorial Review Committee)
• Identify new SPE publications (books, monographs, reprints, other)
• Awards committees to recognize those who have made contributions
• Moderate a Technical Interest Group (TIG)
• Leadership of local section activities
• Participate in outreach on energy education
• Transfer technology through Distinguished Lecturer presentations
